She has my vote

Incumbent Gov. Rick Scott is expected to sail through the Florida Republican gubernatorial primary in August, but he might want to sleep with one eye open. A fellow party member has her eye on Tallahassee and her grip on a shoe meant for Scott.

At a campaign forum in Fort Lauderdale Wednesday, Elizabeth Cuevas-Neunder — one of a few Republicans hoping to steal the party’s nomination from Scott — brandished a flip-flop in the air and said she wants to “discipline” the governor with it.

“Ladies and gentlemen, this is used in our Hispanic community as a method of discipline to children” Cuevas-Neunder, who was born in Puerto Rico, told an audience of roughly 200 people, according to the Palm Beach Post.

“It is called la chancleta. In English it’s called a flip-flop. At the present time we have two flip-flops running for governor. And I want to use this one to discipline them because they deserve the discipline,” she said, apparently referring to Scott and Democratic frontrunner Charlie Crist.

The idea of smacking Scott with a flip-flop is apparently a consistent message from Cuevas-Neunder.

Wow spanking out in the mainstream. .I think the whole lot of them in Washington DC need a spanking also. Maybe our country wouldn’t be so screwed up if spankings were given to those who richly need them. .
